Michele Johnston – Senior Travel Coordinator

Inspired by wanderlust

Michele has always been a traveler! She grew up on both East and West Coasts and spent her college years in Arizona and studying abroad in England. During this time, she was able to explore Europe and her passion for travel began!

She spent twelve years in San Francisco working as a Merchandise Buyer for Macy’s and on a recruiting team for Google. Her attention to detail and organizational skills proved to be her greatest strengths as she worked her way through the tech world.

A broader perspective

During a sabbatical, Michele spent two months in Tanzania, Africa teaching children English. She fell in love with the African culture and gained a broader perspective of what travel had to offer.

Before joining Travel by Kiki, Michele was always interested in planning and preparing for trips. Whether it was a great girls trip destination, a couple’s trip to Napa or a quick weekend getaway, she finds excitement in researching what the world has to offer. Now that she has joined Kiki, she knows her passion and talents are a true match.

Awaiting the next journey

Michele currently lives outside of Chicago with her husband and three daughters. Her travels look a bit different now, but she still finds excitement in destinations near and far. Her daughters caught the travel bug early and are always up for an adventure! She hopes after her children are grown, she and her husband will continue to travel the world as there is still so much to see!
